EBS: Contemporary Ballet (beginners)
A beginner contemporary ballet class for children ages 8–13, designed to introduce young dancers to the fundamentals of ballet and contemporary movement in a supportive and creative environment.
Class description
Students learn foundational ballet positions, posture, balance, coordination, turnout. Classes combine elements of classical ballet with modern and expressive dance styles, encouraging freedom of movement and creativity.
Young dancers develop rhythm, musical awareness, emotional expression, and storytelling through choreography and improvisation activities.
Warm-ups and conditioning exercises help improve flexibility, core strength, body alignment, and motor skills appropriate for growing children.
Classes are structured to build confidence, discipline, teamwork, and self-expression while maintaining a fun and encouraging atmosphere for beginners.
Class details
Classes are on Tuesdays from 5:00 to 6:00 PM, at the Westside school in Hammersmith.
